Doom Data Visualization

To celebrate the launch of the new Doom game, I’ve decided to visualize some Doom related data! It focusses on the stats of the enemies and weapons in the first ever Doom game on the PC.

Click on an icon that represents the enemy and weapon combination you want to explore, and you’ll see how long it would take to kill them with this weapon, along with some other figures for both. Be careful, though; don’t click on the berserker packs or things might get a bit fuzzy for you!

So you can see it would take on average 400 pistol shots to kill a Cyberdemon. After a quick search, I’ve discovered someone has done just that!

To see how the weapon damage is calculated, check out this link as it goes into quite some detail.
